Aldijana Bunjak

Dr. Aldijana Bunjak is an Associate Professor of Leadership and Organizational Behavior at the University of Stavanger Business School, Norway. Her research focuses on how humans and technology interact in the workplace, the role of authentic and strength-based leadership, and strategies to improve well-being and creativity in digital work environments.

A former postdoctoral research scholar and lecturer at the University of St. Gallen (Switzerland), Aldijana has authored over 27 publications exploring mindful optimism, burnout prevention, identity leadership, and innovation in digitally mediated work. Notably, she co-authored award-winning research on burnout and collective trust, and has published studies on the interplay of creativity, digital nativity, and innovation in IT-driven organizations.

Aldijana leads global research initiatives—including the e-Wanderlust project—examining digital nomad well-being, community, and career design, and actively recruits participants for her ongoing studies. She’s also a member of the editorial board of Dynamic Relationships Management Journal and a participant in international leadership networks like LeadCog and Humanizing Digital Work.

Beyond academia, Aldijana is a dedicated mentor and educator—teaching courses on contemporary HRM, creativity, and leadership at both UiS and the University of St. Gallen—while sharing insights across podcasts, blogs, and global conferences.
