250 builders. One week. A lot of momentum.
For one week in Chiang Mai, 250 founders, freelancers, investors, and operators came together to share ideas, compare notes, and work on building more freedom in their life through location independent work.
What stood out most was the mix of perspectives in the room. We saw strong international representation across Asia — with attendees joining from Japan, China, Malaysia, Taiwan, and beyond — alongside a growing group of local Thai founders. Different backgrounds, same goal: building something that lasts.
Conference
This year’s program was curated to follow a real journey: from getting a remote job, to building skills and income, to starting a company, and eventually stepping into investing and long-term wealth.
Across six themed blocks, we hosted 12 talks and 2 panels, each grounded in practical experience rather than theory.
Speakers shared what they’ve actually built and learned along the way — from the COO of Hostaway, to an ex-director at Microsoft now building her startup, to founders in the middle of exits, and operators who’ve transitioned into investors and created real wealth systems.
The goal was clarity and practicality: showing what it really looks like to move forward on each stage.
Buildathon
The Buildathon — practical side of Nomad Summit — continued to be one of the highlights of the week, and was just as hands-on as we hoped.
Mixed teams of nomads & locals shaped real concepts into pitch decks and presented them to the jury. A day of focused work turned rough ideas into structured, testable business cases.
It’s exciting to see this project evolve into something that truly connects Thai builders and international founders in one room, solving problems together.
Big congrats to the winning teams: SkillScoop, ChiangRide, and Axiom.
Nomad Week
Nomad Week continued to grow alongside the conference, filling the city with side events, meetups, and partner sessions.
With 50+ side events in 20+ different venues across the week, it has become an integral part of the Nomad Summit ecosystem, creating room for the kinds of conversations that don’t happen on stage — the ones that turn into collaborations, friendships, and future projects.
Looking ahead
Our goal remains simple: give people the tools, network, and confidence to build location-independent work and design a life with more freedom.
